Nou Bank was an in-house project when I lived in Hong Kong and worked with EPAM Continuum. Based on high demand from the local market we put together an innovative digital banking solution from scratch to showcase our capabilities. My main goal was to build an absolutely stable foundation for this product. I started with doing intense research on the existing solutions, collecting end-user requirements, coming up with new banking offerings like Group Deposits & Savings.
I crated the full User Journey and Interaction Map for the mobile application. In the meantime we started working on the Branding and Identity of this fictional Bank. I put together a list of UX Principles which I checked in every stage of the production. With this solid foundation we were able to quickly create some high fidelity prototypes and based on those we got valuable feedback from our end-users so we were confident to move the designs to development.
This Project was a great success. We as a small team of 3 designers acted fast and professional. Together with other teams not just put together a real banking product but a banking product with an awesome user experience. And it took us only around 3-4 months from start to finish. Also this project won us real projects with new clients as well.
The most important thing I learnt during this project is how important it is to start from a solid foundation. Do our research & testing. Stick to our principles and have quick reasonable iterations.
